The Billings Royals and Scarlets are set to face off in an exciting tournament, as they aim to defend their respective titles and add another trophy to their collection. This amazing matchup of talent from across the United States and Canada will take place at Dehler Park and Pirtz Field from Thursday to Sunday, and with a multitude of teams joining them, is sure to make for an entertaining way to celebrate coach David Swecker’s birthday!
The Billings Royals are aiming to make their coach David Swecker’s birthday extra special by defending their title as champions of the Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers Baseball Tournament. Meanwhile, the Billings Scarlets are dedicated to pushing themselves further and hope to add another trophy to their collection, fresh off their recent victory in the Battle of Omaha 19U division. The tournament will take place from Thursday to Sunday at Dehler Park and Pirtz Field.
Joining the Royals and Scarlets are Sheridan (Wyoming), Saskatchewan (Canada), the Colorado Rogue, and the Colorado Lightning. With a mix of teams from all different backgrounds, this tournament is sure to be an exciting one!
The Scarlets, who have a 25-10 record, will be playing against the Troopers at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Dehler field. This showcase of talent from across the country is sure to bring an exciting and entertaining atmosphere for all involved!
With defending champions the Rogue and Lightning in attendance, alongside last year’s winners the Scarlets, the games are sure to be highly competitive and full of thrilling baseball. The tournament provides an amazing opportunity for the Scarlets to build up their skills and prepare for the State AA championships in Missoula on July 22-26.
The Royals are ready to take on the tournament with a positive attitude, determined to better themselves and their team. They have been playing strong defensively and from the mound, and are now focusing on their offensive game in order to be fully prepared for the July stretch run and the State Tournament.
According to Coach Hust, the team has a great atmosphere and chemistry. Every member of the team looks out for each other and wants to contribute to the team’s success. The Royals are proud of their camaraderie and are confident it will help them reach their goals in the upcoming tournament.
