The Goshen County Library is proud to be part of creating and sustaining strong, healthy communities. Through this project, the library provides a valuable service by giving individuals the opportunity to track their own blood pressure numbers and share that information with their physicians. This important information can lead to improved overall health by enabling more effective treatment plans. According to Kevin Franke, senior project coordinator for WyCOA, “Better treatment plans lead to better overall health – and that’s the goal of this project.”

The University of Wyoming and Goshen County Library have taken an important step toward helping individuals in the around counties understand their health, control their blood pressure, and make more informed decisions about how to live a healthier life. Through this unique resource–convenience, privacy and empowerment rolled into one–this project seeks to improve overall health and provide help to those living within areas in Wyoming. As this program experiences success, hopefully other organizations may be inspired to follow suit, resulting in increased access to valuable healthcare resources.
