The Gold Buckle Club has announced a star-studded lineup among their 250 members, with Paul Bogart, Exit 53, and veteran artist Rick Geisler and the Band of Outlaws ready to entertain guests. This year’s packed offerings include dinner entertainment, up to two hours of live music, and a dance party set to kick off with Geisler and Co. Following ten years in the works, Geisler’s crew have found new success in Wyoming and Montana, proving that a larger ensemble with multiple talents—yes, even a financial strain—pays off in variety for fans.
The Gold Buckle Club is proud to host a stellar lineup of local and national talent this year, including Paul Bogart, Exit 53, and Rick Geisler and the Band of Outlaws. Chair Troy Baker stated, “[We] want to provide [our] 250 members with an unparalleled experience that includes both local and larger talent. Guests can enjoy entertainment during dinner as well as live music from 5-7 pm outside. The night will culminate in dancing and music starting at 9:30 pm, kicking off with Geisler on Wednesday.”
After a decade of networking and gathering the right people, Geisler’s Band of Outlaws has been together for eight years and continues to evolve with new members.
Proud of their talented six- to seven-piece band, they are able to show off their musical abilities in a variety of country and rock and roll pieces across southeast Wyoming and Montana. Even with the challenges of adding more members financially, Geisler’s Band of Outlaws believes that it pays off to have different musicians take the spotlight during some songs, as well as give Geisler’s voice a break.
After seven years of playing for the Gold Buckle Club, Geisler and Exit 53 still look forward to their yearly visit to Sheridan for the WYO Rodeo. Consisting of Landa Uffelman on lead vocals and guitar, Gary Lehman on lead guitar and vocals, Gale Link on bass guitar, and Tyson Bauwens on drums, Exit 53 will be playing this Thursday at the Gold Buckle Club.
All members of the band were born and raised in Hardin, Montana, and each bring a unique skillset to the music. Uffelman has had a passion for singing from an early age, Lehman brings Gibson Guitar experience from his time at Montana State University, and Link has been honing his rhythm and lead guitar skills since childhood. Together, they form a powerhouse of talent that will keep you dancing all night long!
Bauwens has been playing the drums since fifth grade, and enjoys taking time to farm with his family and play 80s rock and country music. Exit 53 is proud to have performed for the Gold Buckle Clubs a few times in the past, and they are excited to return to Sheridan to rock the WYO Rodeo!
While they don’t write their own music, the band is looking forward to creating their own original pieces in the near future.
Bogart, the lead singer and songwriter of the band, is passionate about creating music that fits “under a cowboy hat”. His process for creating music is unique and creative, as he doesn’t follow the same routine every time. He might write down a lyric or tune that comes to him, or craft a story from his own experiences. Regardless, Bogart has a knack for crafting western swing music, and he looks forward to sharing it with the world.
He is especially excited to return to the Sheridan area for the WYO Rodeo, an event that he has been a part of multiple times. According to Bogart, this rodeo is one of the best-run events he has ever attended, and coming back to Sheridan is always a pleasure.
By leveraging both their extensive connections and the resources that come with acquiring more band members, Rick Geisler and his Band of Outlaws proves to be an accessible, all-encompassing entertainment experience for listeners across Wyoming and Montana. With this diverse lineup on offer at The Gold Buckle Club, music-lovers will undoubtedly not be disappointed no matter where their evening takes them — from newly added talent performing classic numbers to upbeat dance moves lighting up the night.
