Sheridan’s own Nature WY, created by Wyoming PBS and Science Kids, has been honored with a nomination for a prestigious regional Emmy award and recognized by the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Winners of this year’s Emmys will be announced during a ceremony on Saturday, July 15th in Denver.

Science Kids and Wyoming PBS continue to champion the series, actively promoting and marketing it to ensure Nature WY comes alive in classroom settings. The organizations have made great strides by presenting Nature WY at various conferences and will be continuing their outreach efforts throughout the year. During Wednesday’s 24-hour fundraising event WyoGives, Rieder acknowledged that public donations are essential for programs like Science Kids and Nature WY to thrive and help parents and youth learn.
Knowing they have the backing of the community, Amend and Rieder are proud to be recognized for their hard work with a nomination at the Heartland Emmy Awards this Saturday.
