The WYO PLAY Future Filmmakers Program provides a comprehensive curriculum of six workshops and two film production opportunities, allowing students to gain a solid foundation in the art and craft of filmmaking. The program offers an enriching experience for participants to develop their teamwork and leadership skills, as well as deepen their understanding of the filmmaking process and refine their technical skills. Workshops run from February 27 to April 30, 2024, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm, featuring three key phases of filmmaking: story writing, film shooting, and editing. Dedicated sessions for film shooting will take place on March 23 and 24, 2024, and editing is scheduled from April 1 to April 30, 2024.
To culminate the program, students’ short films will be screened at the WYO Film Festival in Fall 2024, providing an exciting opportunity for them to showcase their talent to a wider audience and gain recognition within the local film community.
