Sheridan College’s Weekend Welding program is the best option if you have been searching for a welding curriculum to accommodate your busy schedule. Beginning in July, students can obtain their Welding Certificate and entry-level work skills without quitting their current employment. During the Weekend Information and Registration Nights, Sheridan College provides the opportunity to interact with faculty and staff, obtain information about the Weekend Welding program, and register on-site. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to learn program details. The Tech Center will host evening events on June 24, June 29, July 6, and July 13 between 5 and 7 p.m.
Students enrolled in the Weekend Welding program will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and instruction that is directly pertinent to the welding industry in just one year. The fact that the training is conducted over the weekend, on both Friday and Saturday, makes it an excellent option for those who wish to obtain certification without interfering with their regular work schedule.
At each of the four Weekend Welding Information and Registration Nights, guests can converse with Sheridan College’s Student Affairs, Admissions Services, Financial Aid, and Welding Department staff. You’ll be able to get more information about the program’s prerequisites, opportunities, and application procedures. In addition, you will have the opportunity to tour SC’s Tech Center, obtain information about available scholarships, and speak with academics about the technical aspects of the program.
The Weekend Welding program is open to anyone interested in retraining for their current job, changing careers, leaving the military, or simply refining their welding skills for personal projects. Those seeking to begin a career in welding are strongly encouraged to enroll in the program. Students enrolled in the program can apply for university-provided housing and financial aid. Students who satisfy the requirements can apply for and receive Weekend Welding program-specific welding scholarships.
Because the program meets only on Fridays and Saturdays, students have the entire week to prepare for class and catch up on any missed assignments over the weekend. Therefore, the program’s scheduling is one of its most excellent qualities. Participants in the Weekend Welding program attend one class on Friday afternoon and the other class first thing on Saturday morning. Students can complete the program in one year by enrolling in either course. The program’s Friday and Saturday classes will commence on the 21st of July, 2023.
